Project Procurement Manager (Greenfield Projects)

Location: Hybrid, based in the downtown Columbia, South Carolina office, with 2–3 days per week in the office. Regular travel to project sites, supplier, manufacturing, and fabrication locations is required. Domestic travel is expected at 25–35%, including presence in active construction or industrial environments.

Salary: $118,000–$140,000 annually, paid bi-weekly.

What you will do

• Own and execute procurement plans for assigned greenfield nuclear EPC projects.
• Build procurement schedules aligned with engineering releases, supplier lead times, fabrication milestones, project budgets, and required-on-site dates.
• Manage the requisition-to-delivery lifecycle, including RFQs, purchase orders, change orders, expediting, and delivery.
• Expedite long-lead nuclear equipment and critical components, tracking supplier progress and driving corrective actions.
• Coordinate suppliers, logistics, inspections, documentation, and material receipt to support construction schedules.
• Report procurement status, commitments, cost impacts, schedule risks, supplier performance, and recovery actions to project and functional leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Six or more years of procurement, buying, or project procurement experience supporting large capital, construction, or EPC projects.
• Experience in power generation, heavy industrial, infrastructure, or another highly regulated capital-project environment.
• Hands-on experience with purchase orders, change orders, supplier coordination, and expediting long-lead equipment.
• Working knowledge of procurement processes, commercial and contract terms, supplier management, ERP systems, reporting tools, and procurement-status tracking.
• Strong organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills in a schedule-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with nuclear EPC projects or commercial nuclear procurement.
• Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance requirements, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1.
• Experience procuring safety-related, quality-related, or engineered-to-order equipment and components.
• Knowledge of EAR, ITAR, Buy American, or other domestic-sourcing requirements.
• CPSM, CIPS, or an equivalent professional certification.
