Construction Project Manager I

Location: Charleston, SC, United States; daily on-site inspections required

Salary: $66,930–$88,683 annually, plus eligibility for quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day activities across the full lifecycle of assigned residential construction projects.
• Conduct daily on-site inspections, review completed work, and verify alignment with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, trade partners, materials, equipment, and corrective actions for defective work.
• Develop and monitor construction master schedules, lot sequencing, site preparations, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain project databases and documentation, including quality checks, reports, delays, vendor issues, and material shortages.
• Establish quality control reviews and ensure compliance with SWPPP and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience; at least 10 years of relevant construction management experience may substitute.
• 2–5 years of experience in new home construction project management, site or construction superintendent work, or related roles.
• Intermediate knowledge of construction building methods and materials.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, attention to detail, financial calculations, and financial analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation, independent working ability, and effective project-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety State Regulated Certification, or willingness to complete it within 60 days of hire.
