Detection Health and Performance Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year, with potential bonus, incentives, stock options, and benefits.

What you will do

• Investigate suspicious traffic, missed attacks, and false positives as attacker behavior evolves.
• Build and evaluate detection logic and improve customers’ detection health during onboarding and throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Combine data analysis and technical troubleshooting to identify detection gaps.
• Share threat insights and recommendations with customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Solutions Engineers, Operations, Research, and Engineering.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in technical support analysis, security operations, threat analysis, fraud and risk analysis, business analysis, or data analysis; alternatively, a related bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or analysis.
• Fluent English required.
• Experience with SQL and data or visualization tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Datadog, or Tableau.
• Experience with Kibana or comparable log analysis tools, plus Jira or a similar CRM tool.
• Knowledge of web architecture, DNS, CDN, GLB, APIs, HTTP structure and headers, cookies, bots, and the threat landscape.
• Familiarity with Git, APIs, JSON, basic scripting, and JavaScript; ability to analyze large datasets using tools such as Kibana and SQL.

Nice to have

• Python, pandas, notebooks, or Streamlit experience.
• Experience building dashboards or reusable investigation tools.
• Ability to use AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate analysis and automation.
