Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $390,100–$585,100 USD annually, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead clinical strategy and messaging across Evernorth businesses, including Express Scripts and pharmacy and care delivery operations.
• Provide executive clinical leadership for pharmacy utilization management and prior authorization operations.
• Represent Evernorth with employers, health plans, providers, regulators, government stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Build strategic relationships with specialty providers, prescribers, clients, sales, product, and account management leaders.
• Guide development of pharmacy-related clinical solutions, including next-generation pharmacy services, GLP-1 programs, and rural care models.
• Partner with technology and innovation leaders to advance automation and artificial intelligence while maintaining clinical quality, safety, and integrity.

Requirements

• MD or DO required.
• 15+ years of clinical and clinical leadership experience, ideally in specialty pharmacy, pharmacy benefits management, managed care, pharmacy retail, or a related industry setting.
• Experience leading and scaling complex clinical operations across multi-site, regional, or national healthcare organizations.
• Expertise across therapeutic categories, clinical programs, products, and emerging pharmacy trends.
• Ability to influence enterprise strategy, work across a matrix organization, and communicate effectively with executive, client, provider, and government stakeholders.
• For occasional or permanent home working, a cable broadband or fiber connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
