Claim Professional - Professional Indemnity

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid work with three days per week in the office and two days at home

What you will do

• Handle assigned professional indemnity and financial lines claims under general supervision.
• Analyze policy coverage, investigate claims, evaluate losses, and negotiate settlements in line with company guidelines.
• Set accurate reserves and authorize claim payments within delegated handling authority.
• Instruct and manage external vendors while monitoring service quality, technical standards, and costs.
• Provide technical advice, maintain internal and external business relationships, and support complex claims and team projects.
• Maintain accurate data, uphold service standards, and participate in training and development activities.

Requirements

• Accredited Product Advisor (APA) qualification or above.
• Prior insurance-related experience, such as paralegal work, insurance operations, or insurance broking.
• General technical knowledge sufficient to manage an assigned claims caseload within delegated authority.
• Experience handling claims in line with technical standards, best practices, and service-level requirements is preferred.
• Intermediate communication, analytical and strategic thinking, judgment, collaboration, flexibility, accountability, and business perspective.
• Advanced customer focus and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
