Application Security Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Partner with product, platform, and infrastructure engineering teams to embed security into product and cloud architecture.
• Review application architectures and AWS environments, ensuring security requirements guide technical decisions and designs.
• Lead security initiatives, including independent assessments, penetration tests, red-team exercises, and deployment of security tooling.
• Investigate security findings and vulnerabilities, identify root causes, and guide durable remediation.
• Address customer security concerns and act as a security subject-matter expert during incidents, including occasional on-call participation.
• Monitor threat intelligence and automate security processes to improve the speed, quality, and visibility of security operations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with application and cloud architectures, primarily AWS.
• Extensive experience conducting application security assessments, including code review and authentication and authorization design evaluation.
• Experience assessing and securing AI and agentic AI capabilities.
• Experience applying threat-modeling methods such as STRIDE.
• Experience with penetration testing, red-team engagements, bug-bounty programs, and vulnerability management.
• Practical experience using AI to automate repeatable security work and building tools or experiments for security teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure, GCP, and Google Workspace.
• Interest in learning new platforms and ecosystems.
