Cardiac Ultrasound Sonographer II

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital, Melrose, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite schedule: 30 hours per week, three 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Pay range: $44.17–$56.21 per hour. New external hires may receive a $10,500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Independently perform cardiac ultrasound procedures according to hospital policies and radiological standards.
• Verify patient identity, procedures, imaging protocols, scanner parameters, and examination requirements.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and maintain patient and staff safety.
• Operate and perform quality control on ultrasound equipment and devices.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and service lines.
• Maintain supplies and clean, functional work areas; support students and new technologists when needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification from CCI.
• Two years of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of radiologic equipment, examinations, procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, organize priorities, and lift 30–35 pounds.
