Senior Software Engineer: Social & AI - MetaMask (Web3)

Location: EMEA — Remote; applications from candidates based in France, Italy, or Germany are not considered.

Salary: $130,000–$190,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Contribute to MetaMask’s social expansion and multi-chain user experiences.
• Unify and enhance social experiences across MetaMask Portfolio, Browser Extension, and Mobile platforms.
• Coordinate with other experience teams to deliver complex projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards across the organization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with web and mobile technologies.
• Hands-on experience with React, React Native, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with blockchain fundamentals across multiple architectures and consuming APIs.
• Ability to develop medium- to large-scale applications across the full stack using sensible abstractions, testing, linting, and web standards.
• Strong knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility, web security threats, and prevention techniques.
• Experience with Agile development teams and continuous integration; excellent written and verbal English communication.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EVM and non-EVM blockchain protocols.
• Experience with cross-chain bridges, transaction lifecycles, or interoperability solutions.
• Previous Web3 experience and knowledge of the Web3 wallet space.
• Mobile development experience with React Native, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Experience working in decentralized or distributed teams.
