Senior Software Development Engineer, Globalization (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Kraków, Poland, with an in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week.

Salary: PLN 320,000–360,000 gross per annum, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own complex team-level software projects from requirements clarification through delivery.
• Build AI/LLM-powered translation, orchestration, and quality-control tooling for production localization workflows.
• Develop localization infrastructure, translation pipelines, and internationalization tooling integrated with translation management systems.
• Design CI/CD-integrated locale rendering, text extraction, translation, and pseudo-locale validation solutions.
• Standardize internationalization frameworks across frontend and backend systems, including date, time, currency, pluralization, and message formatting.
• Build i18n static analysis and linting tools, support RTL and bidirectional languages, operate production services, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience, including internationalization or localization engineering.
• Experience leading delivery of complex features within a team.
• Strong programming ability in Go and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React Native and modern web frameworks, or comparable experience with Java, Kotlin, or C#/.NET.
• Production experience applying AI/LLMs in workflows and evaluating where automation should complement human review.
• Knowledge of Unicode, ICU/CLDR-based libraries, locale-aware formatting, and scalable translation pipelines.
• Experience with code reviews, secure coding standards, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Production experience with RTL and bidirectional language support, localizability audits, or pseudo-locale validation.
• Experience with Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, Transifex, ICU/CLDR internals, or XLIFF.
• Fintech or other regulated-industry experience.
