Sr. Audit Specialist

Salary: $89,460–$109,340 annually, plus variable pay

What you will do

• Conduct, support, and facilitate regulatory and Pharmacy Benefit Manager audits.
• Evaluate and test internal controls and ensure audits are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end regulatory audit program.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Compliance, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse teams to address risks.
• Manage audit inquiries, findings, corrective action plans, and root-cause validation with business leaders.
• Maintain organized work papers and report audit matters to executive leadership and the Audit Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; a high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum requirement unless otherwise noted.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare or health insurance.
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and managing multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Integrity, professionalism, business acumen, and willingness to learn regulated products and PBM operations.

Nice to have

• Understanding of audit, risk management, or compliance principles.
• Experience with BCBSMA regulated products or business operations.
