Sr. Regulatory Toxicologist

Location: Hybrid, based in Marysville, Ohio, United States

Salary: $87,600–$103,100 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs.

What you will do

• Conduct toxicological risk assessments for raw materials and products using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico methods.
• Provide toxicology guidance to R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory affairs, and external stakeholders.
• Manage chemical sustainability initiatives by identifying safer alternatives and reducing or eliminating hazardous substances.
• Develop product safety testing strategies and prepare scientific toxicological dossiers for North American regulatory submissions.
• Monitor global toxicology regulations and scientific developments, and deliver sustainable chemical management training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in toxicology, pharmacology, or environmental health.
• At least 5 years of experience in toxicology, with a focus on regulatory toxicology, risk assessment, or green chemistry.
• In-depth knowledge of North American hazard communication and regulatory requirements, including GHS, CPSC, EPA, OSHA, and PMRA.
• Ability to interpret complex toxicology studies and scientific data.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with relevant toxicology databases and software.
• Knowledge of life cycle assessment principles and methodologies for evaluating chemical alternatives.

Nice to have

• Board certification in toxicology through DABT or eligibility to sit for the exam within five years.
• Experience managing raw material or product sustainability programs in chemical manufacturing or consumer goods.
