Senior Data Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $139,400–$230,000, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and operationalize complex data pipelines and solutions for enterprise analytics.
• Integrate new data sources, apply transformations, resolve data defects, and recommend data cleansing and quality improvements.
• Analyze complex data sources to determine their value and suitability for analytical processes.
• Apply data governance, data security, and data quality practices across projects.
• Act as a data and technology subject matter expert, supporting business partnerships and educating users on data products and analytics environments.
• Investigate and resolve high-complexity data and system incidents while supporting delivery across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 additional years of data engineering experience; the role may require up to 10 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ETL tools such as Abinitio and Databricks, AWS cloud platforms, Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.
• Experience defining software design strategies, using automated testing and feedback loops, and monitoring production and adjacent systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, business partnership, documentation, leadership, and influencing skills.
