TL;DR

Network Engineer 1 (Coax/Ethernet/Fiber): Installing, testing, labeling, and documenting headend network equipment and associated coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber cabling with an accent on rack installations and cable handling. Focus on reading hub designs and rack elevations, self-managing field work, mentoring others, and extensive travel.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA, United States; extensive travel required

Pay rate: $18/hour

What you will do

Rack and install headend equipment.
Install, connectorize, label, and test coaxial and Ethernet cables.
Clean, test, and install fiber jumpers.
Read and understand hub designs and rack elevations.
Manage time independently and mentor or direct other workers.
Maintain and submit expense reports, timesheets, and other documentation on time.

Requirements

Experience handling coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber cables.
Basic computer skills.
Understanding of hub design and rack elevations.
Clean background and DMV record.
Ability to work in Sunnyvale, California, and travel extensively.
