Laboratory Manager

Location: Tomoana, New Zealand; eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights required

What you will do

• Oversee the day-to-day operation and administration of the laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory accreditation to IANZ and ISO 17025 standards.
• Lead, supervise, and develop laboratory team members.
• Investigate microbiological issues in manufacturing plants and involve the laboratory in factory hygiene systems.
• Follow food safety, environmental, health and safety, ethical, and human resources policies.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in science, microbiology, or a related field.
• Strong experience in microbiological testing and laboratory signatory responsibilities.
• Proven people supervision and leadership experience.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with FSQ and production teams.
• Ability to improve existing methods, systems, processes, or products and implement significant change.
• Full working rights in New Zealand required.

Nice to have

• Experience with a LIMS database.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
