Location: Grafton Campus, Auckland, New Zealand; flexible employment practices include working from home and flexible hours.

Salary: $165,808 + $57,798 medical loading per annum, pro rata.

What you will do

  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching in medicine and cardiology.
  • Develop and lead a research programme aligned with the Department of Medicine’s strategic priorities.
  • Supervise postgraduate and doctoral research students.
  • Build collaborative research partnerships and secure external research funding.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, academic leadership, clinical service, and departmental activities.

Requirements

  • Medical qualification registrable in New Zealand and eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or an equivalent cardiology qualification.
  • PhD and/or MD qualification.
  • Eligibility to be employed within the Cardiology Service at Health New Zealand-Te Toka Tumai Auckland.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research supervision, publications, research activity, and collaborative programme development.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and research funding capabilities.
