Senior Test Engineer

Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role with limited travel as needed

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop and document the overarching Test and Evaluation strategy, concepts, methodologies, plans, execution activities, reporting, and data analysis.
• Lead government oversight within integrated test teams and serve as the primary testing lead for MSS leadership.
• Validate software capabilities against intended operational outcomes from an end-to-end mission perspective.
• Assess contractor test automation, test environments, software release testing, fault insertion, and fault identification activities.
• Coordinate testing schedules across multiple software releases and manage interactions with external testing organizations and stakeholders.
• Capture test metrics, log defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support integration and regression test cycles.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have and be able to maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience with electronic security systems, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, Software Gate Reviews, and Qualification Test Evaluation.
• Expertise in Test and Evaluation planning, strategy development, execution, reporting, DoD testing processes, and methodologies.
• Experience with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, DevOps environments, system integration, and test automation assessment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 10 years of directly related experience, including 4 years in a DoD setting.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments, cloud architectures, DoDI 5000.87, and applicable DoD acquisition and testing regulations.
• Experience with mission systems, operational users, warfighter-focused capability development, and site acceptance testing.
