TL;DR
Product Analyst (Cybersecurity) (Product Analytics/SQL/Python): Driving data-informed decisions for consumer security products through experimentation, user behavior analysis, and product metric development with an accent on A/B testing, retention, feature adoption, and telemetry quality. Focus on designing causal analyses, defining scalable data foundations, and translating complex findings into product strategy and customer experience improvements.
Location: Hybrid in Waterloo or Toronto, Ontario, Canada; candidates must live within commuting distance and be available onsite as needed. Work is completed from a home office when onsite presence is not required.
Salary: CAD $100,772.50–$136,337.50 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments measuring engagement, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze user journeys, onboarding funnels, feature adoption, and retention cohorts to identify product growth opportunities.
- Define north-star metrics, KPIs, guardrails, shared metric definitions, and reliable dashboards.
- Translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for product roadmaps and prioritization.
- Partner with data engineering and platform teams to improve telemetry, data models, and reporting layers.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, Design, and Engineering while mentoring analysts and presenting insights to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in product analytics, advanced analytics, or data science with a strong product focus.
- Hands-on expertise in A/B testing and quasi-experimental methods, including difference-in-differences and matching.
- Advanced SQL and Python skills with a strong foundation in statistics and hypothesis testing.
- Experience analyzing user behavior, funnels, retention, feature adoption, event-based data, and digital-product tracking.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker and strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to connect analytical insights to product strategy and customer-experience improvements.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
