Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Remote from an approved U.S. city and state; role associated with Tempe, Arizona

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data processes and models using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Kafka.
• Build end-to-end data pipelines and near-real-time integrations for transactional applications, analytics, and external partners.
• Apply performance optimization, data quality, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data architecture practices.
• Implement data validation, automation, and integrations with Python and modern ELT workflows using dbt.
• Develop workflow orchestration and CI/CD processes with Argo or similar platforms and GitHub or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with engineers, product leaders, analysts, business teams, and vendor partners while mentoring teammates.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related data discipline.
• Advanced SQL skills for transactional and analytical workloads, including experience with SQL Server and Snowflake.
• Experience with Kafka, Confluent, CDC, Snowflake, end-to-end pipelines, and near-real-time data integration.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, normalized design, and enterprise data architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, dbt, workflow orchestration, Git-based version control, and CI/CD practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in an AI-first engineering environment and with agentic programming or AI-assisted development.
• Experience applying AI and machine learning concepts to automation, predictive insights, anomaly detection, or intelligent workflows.
• Background supporting operational applications, enterprise analytics platforms, vendor integrations, or external data exchange.
• Experience in high-growth organizations focused on scalability, performance, and rapid delivery.
