What you will do

• Evaluate bid specifications, drawings, and requirements for heavy civil projects.
• Estimate mass excavation, building excavation, underground utilities, paving, and hardscape scopes.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and solicit material and subcontractor quotes.
• Ensure all elements required for accurate and competitive bids are completed.
• Work with project management teams to follow up on bids and budgets and help close business.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience in heavy civil work.
• Experience estimating heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Negotiation experience and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel locally.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software such as P6 and HCSS Heavy Bid.
