Seasonal Part-Time V1/Shading Operator (Broadcast Video)

Location: Onsite in Inglewood, California, United States. Remote and hybrid work options are not offered.

What you will do

• Perform real-time shading of multiple camera sources during live and recorded productions.
• Configure and operate Sony broadcast camera chains, CCUs, RCPs, and camera shading systems.
• Adjust iris, gamma, black levels, exposure, and color balance to maintain a consistent on-air look.
• Color-correct inbound video feeds and manage signal routing using Selenio Network Processor Manager and Imagine Magellan Control systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot video signals with waveform monitors, vectorscopes, and diagnostic tools.
• Support camera setup, calibration, testing, remote productions, robotic camera systems, Ultimatte systems, and OLED display integrations.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in camera shading or broadcast video operations in studio or remote production environments.
• Extensive experience with Sony broadcast camera systems, including studio and ENG configurations.
• Experience with shading, color correction, video routing, frame synchronizers, and production systems such as Imagine or Cobalt.
• Strong understanding of 1080p, 1080i, and 720p broadcast video formats.
• Working knowledge of SMPTE 2110 or IP-based video workflows.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs for production setup and support.

Nice to have

• Experience in live sports or fast-paced broadcast production.
• Experience with automated and robotic Panasonic or Telemetrics camera systems.
• Familiarity with Ultimatte compositing, virtual production, OLED walls, HDR, and emerging broadcast technologies.
