What you will do

• Plan research activities and drive project progress.
• Organize, store, and manage research samples, including relevant human tissue.
• Execute protein extraction and preparation protocols for mass spectrometry studies.
• Coordinate with colleagues to generate high-quality plasma proteomics data.
• Analyse proteomics data using statistical and computational tools, including quality control assessment.
• Integrate proteomics results with genotypic and clinical measurements for large-scale multi-omics research.

Requirements

• Hold or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant research area.
• Extensive, current theoretical and practical knowledge of mass spectrometry and/or protein quantitation.
• Experience analysing mass spectrometry data from human-derived samples in large cohort studies.
• Experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomics and data quality control.
• Strong technical, organisational, and collaborative research skills.

Nice to have

• Experience interpreting disease-related proteomics data, particularly in age-related disease or vascular health.
• Experience using DIA-NN, pathway analysis, and enrichment tools such as STRING and Reactome.
• Experience developing data analysis workflows and scripts in R.
