Environmental Scientist Consultant - Ground Water & Surface Water

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; regular field work, sometimes in remote locations

What you will do

• Participate regularly in environmental field work, including assignments in remote locations.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams across the business.
• Install and process pressure transducers to produce groundwater hydrographs.
• Undertake field investigations, interpret data, and prepare written reports.
• Plan and deliver outcomes with internal and external clients and subcontractors.
• Conduct aquifer permeability testing and groundwater modelling.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in an environmental consultancy.
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of relevant Queensland and New South Wales environmental legislation.
• Experience with groundwater sampling techniques, including peri-pump, bladder, and hydrosleeve methods.
• Experience in geological logging and interpretation.
• Demonstrated experience designing and installing groundwater monitoring bores.
