Team Leader (Environmental Laboratory)

Salary: AUD 85,000–90,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead routine preparation and analysis of environmental samples with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical leadership, monitor work progress, and improve laboratory efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure analytical results are delivered on time and meet client KPIs and hirify.global data quality objectives.
• Develop and validate analytical methods and instrumentation to support NATA accreditation.
• Maintain laboratory QA/QC standards, equipment cleanliness, and compliance with hirify.global quality requirements.
• Manage and develop the laboratory team, including staff training and performance alignment with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science and postgraduate diploma in a relevant science field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Commercial environmental laboratory experience.
• Previous NATA signatory or delegated NATA signatory status.
• Technical and professional knowledge, analytical problem-solving, and strong information-seeking skills.
• Communication, teamwork, customer service, organisation, accountability, and professional presentation skills.
• Flexibility to support business demands and national projects when required.
