Electrical Construction Management - Assistant Project Manager

Location: Santa Fe Springs, California; onsite. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $74,000–$125,000 per year, paid weekly and based on experience.

What you will do

• Support Project Managers and coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, Project Engineers, administrators, and interns.
• Manage document control, drawings, submittals, shop drawings, purchase orders, vendors, releases, and subcontracts.
• Prepare RFIs, maintain RFI logs, and assess cost impacts.
• Build project budgets, assist with electrical take-offs and estimating, and manage change orders and EWO pricing.
• Coordinate material tracking with field foremen, lighting, and pre-fabrication teams.
• Assist with reports, schedule reviews, project closeouts, and O&M documentation.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in electrical construction or as a Project Engineer, including knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, materials, and electrical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an AA or BS in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering is preferred or may be replaced by relevant trade and work experience.
• Experience with estimating; Accubid is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with an understanding of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and comply with electrical codes, labor agreements, and state regulations.
• Strong organization, communication, reasoning, ownership, leadership, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

• LEED AP certification.
