Infrastructure Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: Athens, Attica, Greece; hybrid workplace. Participation in an on-call support rota and planned out-of-hours maintenance is required.

What you will do

• Support the transition and handover of infrastructure and platform services into the Operations team.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure, platform, and data center incidents.
• Perform operational activities across compute, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Execute maintenance procedures, upgrades, backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, availability, and performance.
• Maintain runbooks and operational documentation while contributing to automation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform operations, including enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• Strong Linux and Ubuntu system administration skills.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, plus knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, networking, storage, and backup and recovery concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting production incidents and working with operational support and change management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; availability for 24x7 operational support is preferred.

Nice to have

• Ceph, Canonical OpenStack, MAAS, Juju, Terraform, or Ansible experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Loki, or NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.
• ITIL knowledge and Bash or Python scripting experience.
• Experience in regulated or highly available environments.
