TL;DR
Sr Project Manager - Quality (Medical Devices): Guiding the development and launch of medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and OTC drugs with an accent on cross-functional project portfolios, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance. Focus on managing design controls, risk assessments, 510(k) activities, project plans, and contingency planning across R&D, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and product teams.

Location: Northfield, Illinois, United States; travel up to 10% domestically and internationally may be required.

Salary: $92,000–$138,000 annual, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Guide the development and launch of medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and OTC drugs.
  • Lead multifunctional teams across R&D, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and product divisions.
  • Manage project portfolios, plans, budgets, scope, timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Advise divisional leadership on project status, strategic plans, innovation pipelines, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify potential delays or cost overruns, and implement contingency plans.
  • Lead process improvement and quality initiatives while coaching and training junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science field.
  • PMP certification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, or cosmetics.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience and experience launching new products.
  • Knowledge of Class I–II medical device requirements, design controls, risk assessments, and the 510(k) process.
  • Ability to work at the Northfield, Illinois location and travel up to 10% as required.
