Medical Director (Sports Medicine)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite at a health center

Salary: $455,000–$475,000 annually. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is also offered.

What you will do

• Provide histories, physical examinations, prescriptions, and comprehensive care for client employees and dependents aged two and older.
• Deliver episodic, preventive, occupational, and primary healthcare based on client needs.
• Oversee clinical practices, procedures, policies, and guidelines across the health center.
• Develop annual health center goals and drive outcomes across clinical programs.
• Support provider assessment, mentoring, teaching, and training, and serve as a collaborative physician for advanced practice providers.
• Partner with clinical and operations teams to improve member engagement, utilization, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Medical license in each state of practice or oversight, plus matching federal DEA and applicable state controlled-substance licenses.
• Current ABMS, AMA, or AOA board certification, or board eligibility with board certification required within one year of hire.
• Current hands-on CPR certification, such as BLS for Healthcare Providers, Professional Rescuer, or ACLS; fully online courses are not accepted.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in family practice, emergency medicine, ambulatory care, or occupational health.
• Sports medicine experience is preferred.
• At least three years of healthcare management or leadership experience may be preferred.
