Registered Nurse, RN - Perianesthesia (Periop/PACU) Per Diem

Location: Tufts Medical Center, United States; onsite per diem clinical role with irregular hours and emergency responsibilities.

Pay range: $43.01–$70.95.

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate patient and family-centered care from admission through discharge.
• Develop individualized care plans, coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration, and support safe discharge transitions.
• Perform nursing procedures and treatments, administer medications safely, and assess patient responses.
• Provide patient and family education and advocate for culturally and ethnically sensitive care.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, performance improvement, and regulatory initiatives.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other disciplines; delegate responsibilities and may assume charge nurse functions.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required based on the department and care provided.
• Maintain current licensure and comply with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.
• Ability to provide care across the lifespan and interpret age-specific patient data.
• Ability to handle prolonged standing and walking, patient transfers, hazardous exposures, emergency situations, and irregular hours.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
