Senior ROW/Land Agent

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. The role requires travel and frequent work at field locations, governmental agencies, corporate entities, and client offices.

Salary: USD 75,400–85,800 per year, plus potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support ROW supervisors and provide guidance to ROW agents.
• Secure permission to enter properties from landowners and tenants.
• Negotiate ROW options, easements, fee interests, curative documents, and damage settlements.
• Develop construction lines based on landowner and tenant conditions or restrictions.
• Maintain detailed contact diaries, activity reports, payment logs, and ROW documentation.
• Support construction activities and follow the project Safety Plan.

Requirements

• Experience as a ROW agent or in a related right-of-way position.
• Experience with right-of-way or real estate services for public organizations and public utility or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of property acquisition, condemnation, real estate transaction laws, eminent domain, land descriptions, surface and subsurface rights, and ROW document analysis.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, quantitative, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet and word-processing applications.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, travel as required, and lift or move up to 35 pounds. An associate degree is preferred; SR/WA or another IRWA designation and Notary Public status are required.
