RN, Clinical Nurse - ICU-G

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Main Campus, Lowell, Massachusetts; onsite ICU-G role. Shift: 36 hours, nights from 7 PM to 7 AM; weekends and holidays required.

Pay range: $37.50–$75.32 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients and their families in accordance with established clinical policies and procedures.
• Conduct, document, and continuously evaluate accurate clinical assessments and individualized plans of care.
• Apply professional nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, and research to changing patient needs.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate effectively, and coordinate with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Develop patient and family education and discharge plans using appropriate referrals and community resources.
• Support staff development through precepting, onboarding, professional education, and departmental committees.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Relevant department-specific certifications may be required.
• RN experience must meet the requirements of the applicable Career Direct Care Pathway level: Level I through Level IV.
• Ability to apply the nursing process and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to lift and turn patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and work around infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, and potentially carcinogenic chemicals.
