What you will do

• Design, develop, administer, and support enterprise monitoring and event management platforms, with a focus on IBM Netcool Operations Insight and Netcool OMNIbus.
• Build and optimize probes, gateways, automation policies, correlation rules, suppression, enrichment, normalization, deduplication, and root-cause analytics.
• Design monitoring solutions across servers, databases, networks, applications, middleware, cloud platforms, and infrastructure services.
• Integrate monitoring platforms with ServiceNow Event Management, CMDB, service mapping, APIs, SNMP, Syslog, webhooks, and messaging technologies.
• Develop event-driven automation, remediation workflows, self-healing capabilities, runbooks, and orchestration solutions.
• Provide Level 3 production support, participate in on-call and critical incident response, and lead modernization and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related technical field.
• 10 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years administering enterprise monitoring, event management, observability, or infrastructure management platforms.
• Experience with IBM Netcool/NOI, ServiceNow Event Management, Dynatrace, Splunk, or equivalent enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, scripting, automation, and enterprise incident management experience.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, SNMP, Syslog, or messaging technologies, plus the ability to lead initiatives and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Utility industry monitoring experience and experience supporting SOX-regulated applications.
• ITIL, ServiceNow ITOM, CMDB integration, event management architecture, and enterprise observability experience.
• Experience with AIOps, anomaly detection, predictive alerting, log analytics, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, and virtualization.
