Senior Associate Chemist

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Discovery Hub in Newark, Delaware, United States

Salary: $85,801–$134,064 per year, plus a 6% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Perform organic synthesis laboratory tests and procedures according to protocols and safety guidelines.
• Set up reactions, purify compounds, and characterize materials using GC-MS, NMR, IR, and related methods.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and devices.
• Execute designed experiments and support R&D projects focused on process development and scale-up.
• Record, analyze, and report experimental data using software and databases.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, researchers, supervisors, and manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in chemistry or a related technical field, or a high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant chemistry laboratory experience.
• At least five years of experience in a chemistry laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, safe working practices, quality control, and quality assurance procedures.
• Experience working with HF or willingness to learn HF handling.
• Ability to conduct experiments independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills, strong oral and written communication, and the ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive projects.
