QC Lab Technician - Midnights (Chemistry)

Location: Onsite in Old Fort, Ohio, USA; rotating weekend schedule with overnight shifts.

What you will do

• Perform routine analyses, replicate testing, inspections, and reporting for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Inspect production and packaging lines for product weight, date codes, equipment operation, and specification compliance.
• Evaluate non-conforming results and initiate re-sampling, retesting, or material-hold procedures.
• Record and audit test data, compile departmental reports, and release tested materials to production or shipping.
• Provide analytical support to Engineering for process optimization and support the Quality Improvement Process.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and work areas while following safety and food-safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with 5 years of related experience; or post-secondary education combined with the specified related experience.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with plant food-safety programs and basic HACCP principles.
• Ability to work the rotating overnight and weekend schedule and lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability to work around chemicals, machinery, dust, noise, heat, cold, and other manufacturing-plant conditions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
• Manufacturing laboratory experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of GC, ICP, and HPLC equipment.
• SAP experience.
