QA Lab Technician (Chemistry)

Location: North Charleston, South Carolina, United States. Onsite role supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility on a 12-hour rotating Dupont schedule, including scheduled weekends and holidays.

What you will do

• Perform chemical and instrumental analyses on in-process, finished-product, shipment, special-request, and incoming raw-material samples.
• Verify product and raw-material quality while managing sample handling, retention, and laboratory documentation.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments including Karl Fischer, GC, GPC, IC, FT-IR, UV/VIS, and XRF.
• Record, manage, and communicate analytical data using laboratory systems such as Proficy and SAP.
• Prepare reagents, maintain SPC charts and laboratory notebooks, and support new testing methods and R&R studies.
• Collaborate with production and plant chemists, share knowledge, train new team members, and support laboratory safety and compliance.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, an associate degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related field; one year of chemical laboratory or chemical plant industrial experience may substitute for formal education.
• Laboratory experience and instrumental analysis knowledge are preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating day and night shift schedule in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including scheduled weekends and holidays.
• Computer and software proficiency, strong documentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Clear, concise communication skills and sufficient physical dexterity to perform laboratory evaluations accurately and promptly.
