What you will do

• Lead electrical planning and design for process, utility, and building systems within capital projects.
• Support equipment selection, factory acceptance testing, construction, installation, and resolution of technical issues.
• Guide commissioning, validation, engineering qualification runs, and operational readiness in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Provide end-to-end electrical engineering support for plant operations, reliability, safety initiatives, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead equipment improvements, new product and technology introductions, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Provide rotational on-call support for 24/7 plant operations and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering experience, associate degree with 8 years, bachelor’s degree with 4 years, master’s degree with 2 years, or a doctorate.
• Experience designing and constructing medium-voltage electrical distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and paralleling generators.
• Knowledge of 600V-and-below distribution equipment, lighting controls, power monitoring, generators, life safety systems, and lightning protection systems.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and codes, including cGMP, building, fire, electrical, NEC, NETA, OSHA, LEED, and energy codes.
• Ability to provide technical direction to external design firms and solve moderately to highly complex engineering problems.
• Flexibility to support 24/7 operations, strong communication and leadership skills, and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Professional registration, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments.
