Medical Director, Post Acute Care

Location: United States Work at Home; 100% remote

Salary: $207,800–$346,300 USD annually, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Complete time-sensitive, evidence-based medical necessity reviews for post-acute care cases using case management software.
• Conduct peer-to-peer consultations with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Assess the appropriateness of requested services and treatments.
• Recommend alternative services or treatments when clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with more than 500 physician colleagues across multiple medical specialties.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. state medical license and board certification in PM&R, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Eligibility to obtain additional state licenses as required.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws.
• Availability for a fixed Monday–Friday weekly schedule and the ability to work independently with computer applications and automated systems.
• Typing, speaking, and listening are required for the full workday. A company-provided encrypted workstation must be hard-wired to a cable broadband or fiber connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload; wireless connection is not permitted.
