R&D Software Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Migdal Ha'emek, Israel; onsite

hirify.global develops metrology and inspection systems for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, combining hardware and software to improve wafer and reticle production.

What you will do

• Design scalable, maintainable, and modular software systems for optical metrology products.
• Develop software using C++ or C# in Linux environments.
• Work on large, multidisciplinary systems with multiple stakeholders.
• Address multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, memory, and inter-process communication challenges.
• Integrate and debug complex issues spanning multiple software and hardware components.
• Drive technical decisions and collaborate across teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in C++ or C# and hands-on experience with Linux.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and operating systems concepts, including threads, synchronization, memory, and IPC.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and modular software.
• Proven experience working with large, multidisciplinary systems and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working close to hardware.
• Background in real-time systems and strong multithreading or concurrency experience.
• Experience with modern development practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
