CL Senior Risk Consultant

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $145,000–$160,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage at least two employees and lead the P&C loss control team, including workflow, assignments, goals, reporting, training, and development.
• Structure team operations and develop processes that improve efficiency and support internal and external clients.
• Conduct loss control assessments, site inspections, surveys, audits, training, and consultations; prepare risk improvement and service plans.
• Analyze prior losses, investigate accidents, identify unsafe actions and systemic issues, and implement prevention recommendations.
• Coordinate with client service teams, insurance carriers, claims professionals, executives, and other stakeholders on risk and coverage issues.
• Prepare client presentations and periodic risk management reports covering current coverage, vulnerabilities, and recommended solutions.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry, including work with real estate, manufacturing, nonprofit, service, and construction clients.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in safety, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• Broad knowledge of risk management, risk financing, risk assessment, risk strategy, and claims management.
• Experience analyzing complex problems, claims, and coverage issues and working with CFOs, CEOs, counsel, and senior directors.
• Strong project management, communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and regulatory interpretation skills.
• Professional designations such as CSP, CPCU, ARM, CIH, OHST, or CFPS are preferred or may be pursued.
