What you will do

  • Develop and maintain non-environmental permit matrices, contact logs, reports, and database exports.
  • Research permits required for utility and right-of-way projects and identify relevant authorities and contacts.
  • Manage permit schedules, requirements gathering, submissions, follow-up, and renewals.
  • Provide clients with updates on permit status and deliver accurate permit data.
  • Coordinate with railroads, DOTs, county and state highway authorities, levee districts, and other permitting entities.
  • Compile and deliver the non-environmental permit manual before construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a real-property-related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Three years of experience as a non-environmental permit agent or in a related position.
  • Knowledge of land descriptions and terminology, surface and subsurface rights, and right-of-way document analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and word processing; ability to perform valuation calculations in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, negotiation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, work independently, make decisions, and walk long distances over varying terrain.
