Transmission Right of Way Agent

Location: On site in New Albany, Ohio, United States; travel within the transmission service territory is required, with occasional travel outside it.

Annual compensation: $63,496–$128,689, depending on level.

What you will do

• Negotiate with landowners and representatives to acquire land rights for electric transmission and distribution facilities.
• Settle property damage claims and research ownership records, property interests, surveys, appraisals, and legal descriptions.
• Prepare and review legal documents related to land-rights acquisition.
• Develop and manage right-of-way project scopes, estimates, schedules, budgets, milestones, quality, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor companies, review project status and costs, and act as a liaison or project manager.
• Support condemnation and court actions, process improvement initiatives, and safety accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree, or a high school diploma with the related experience required for the applicable level.
• Related experience in business, project management, real estate, law, or electric transmission and distribution right-of-way, ranging from entry level to eight or more years depending on level.
• Senior and principal levels may require right-of-way or project management certification and experience in leadership or project management.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and right-of-way or land-management databases such as geoAMPS.
• Ability to work on site in New Albany, Ohio, travel for projects, work outside normal business hours when needed, and hold a valid state-issued driver’s license.
