Bench Jeweler (Jewelry Repair and Custom Design)

Salary: $17.27–$28.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform repairs using fine metals.
• Set stones, re-tip prongs, repair chains and clasps, and complete minor ring repairs.
• Create stone mountings and perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
• Use wax carving, fabrication, casting, and CAD/CAM design to create custom jewelry.
• Deliver high-quality repair and custom design work focused on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of bench jeweler experience or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Successful completion of a qualified bench test assessing current jeweler skill level.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and quality standards.
• Customer-service mindset and basic computer skills.
• Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends, plus seasonal overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
