Senior Designer, Ready-to-Wear Runway

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 USD per year, based on relevant experience and work location.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Creative leadership and Design Directors to develop seasonal runway and Vogue.com collections.
• Research fashion trends, art, culture, and historical references to create original design concepts.
• Produce hand and digital sketches, technical flats, mood boards, design decks, and line sheets.
• Work with patternmakers, sample rooms, and product development teams to oversee prototypes and fittings.
• Make construction and design adjustments while maintaining high standards of fit, craftsmanship, and brand identity.
• Prepare looks for runway shows, lookbooks, and special presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 10+ years of fashion design experience, including at least 4 years in luxury and/or runway apparel.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative, fashion-forward concepts and execution.
• Excellent sketching, draping, garment construction, and finishing skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of high-end fabrics, construction techniques, color, silhouette, and detail; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
