Senior Rust Software Engineer - Banking Platform (m/f/x)

Location: Seitzstraße, 80538 München-Altstadt-Lehel, Germany. International relocation support is provided if required, and there is an opportunity to work from abroad.

What you will do

• Design and build latency-sensitive Rust services for high-frequency data and decisioning.
• Implement robust, testable financial logic with strict correctness guarantees.
• Build and maintain real-time streaming pipelines, event processing, and feedback loops.
• Optimize CPU, memory, and network performance through profiling and benchmarking.
• Collaborate on API design, data models, and system architecture.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, engineering, sciences, or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive experience with Rust, Docker, AWS, and Terraform.
• Strong Rust proficiency, including ownership, lifetimes, concurrency, async programming, and error handling.
• Experience building high-performance, low-latency production services and understanding throughput, backpressure, and failure modes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on well-architected, testable, and documented code.

Nice to have

• Experience with coding agents such as Codex or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with domain-driven design, distributed architectures, or microservices.
• Background in financial services and exposure to compliance or audit requirements.
