LDI Portfolio Manager

Location: London, United Kingdom; office attendance required at least four days per week, with one day per week available to work from home

What you will do

• Manage derivative and liability-driven investment portfolios in line with client objectives, investment processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Construct and monitor portfolios, including pooled funds and segregated mandates, while maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly risk controls.
• Use Aladdin for risk management and contribute to its development.
• Oversee OTC derivative transactions with investment banks and pursue best execution for clients.
• Develop market views, analyse investment opportunities, select trades, and review relative value between government bonds and swaps.
• Analyse liabilities, determine suitable hedge instruments, prepare client reports and commentary, and present findings to clients and consultants.

Requirements

• Portfolio management experience in liability-driven investment or a closely related area.
• Extensive experience in institutional portfolio management, investment consultancy, or a relevant field.
• Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of investment risk, performance attribution, portfolio restrictions, controls, and regulatory developments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of defined benefit pension scheme strategy and regulation, particularly in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, and Germany.
• CFA Charterholder status.
• Coding skills in Python or VBA.
• Experience with Aladdin.
• Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering.
