Paralegal (Employment Law)

Location: London, United Kingdom; office attendance required at least four days per week, with the option to work from home one day per week

What you will do

• Support the Global Employment Law Team with legal and practical advice for HR and senior stakeholders across the employment lifecycle.
• Advise on contentious and non-contentious HR and employee-relations matters.
• Draft and review employment contracts, HR policies, and settlement agreements.
• Assist with employment and benefits litigation, legal research, and coordination with external legal advisers.
• Support outsourcing, insourcing, mergers and acquisitions, transformation, integration, and changes to benefits and employment terms.
• Manage legal deliverables and prepare fiduciary materials for Benefits Committee operations while handling an independent caseload.

Requirements

• Established UK employment law experience gained in private practice or in-house at a multinational corporation.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness, practical judgment, a solutions-focused approach, and the ability to work autonomously.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Law degree or LPC.
• Financial-services experience.
• Knowledge of SMCR or other financial-services licensing regimes outside the UK.
• Experience with employment law matters outside the UK, European regulatory compensation rules, employee benefits, or commercial contract negotiation.
