EP Radiologic Technologist (Electrophysiology)

Location: Tufts Medical Center in Boston, United States; onsite EP laboratory work

Salary: $37.18–$47.41 per hour, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new external hires.

What you will do

• Prepare EP laboratories, sterile procedure tables, supplies, equipment, and patient access sites for electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist with cardiac device implants, ablations, structural heart procedures, and emergent interventions.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain EP equipment, mapping systems, recording systems, stimulators, and device programmers.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, intracardiac measurements, pacing assessments, lead-parameter checks, and arrhythmia evaluation.
• Document procedure charges, supply usage, fluoroscopy time, radiation dose, and contrast dosage.
• Maintain infection-control and radiation-safety standards, support quality initiatives, and help orient new staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with Radiologic Technologist certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work in restricted and semi-restricted operating-room and perioperative environments.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, wear protective lead aprons, and lift or position patients, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with strong attention to detail and patient safety.
• Willingness to participate in late-shift rotations when required.

Nice to have

• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
• Knowledge of EP procedures, structural heart procedures, and related equipment operation.
