Product Development Manager (Asset Management)

Location: London, United Kingdom; office attendance required at least four days per week, with up to one day working from home.

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and launch new products for the European market.
• Ensure product designs meet the needs of defined target markets and client segments.
• Conduct competitor research and prepare product ideas and business cases for senior management, governance committees, and fund boards.
• Lead launch project working groups, manage stakeholders, and coordinate implementation updates.
• Maintain product specifications, project run books, issue and action logs, and meeting minutes.
• Conduct post-launch product reviews, implement remedies, and monitor relevant market and regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Strong interest in asset management and developing solutions for different client types.
• Knowledge of European pooled fund structures, including UCITS and AIFs, and distribution channels.
• Understanding of the product lifecycle, customer outcomes, and Consumer Duty.
• Experience project managing product launches or change initiatives.
• Ability to develop product propositions, present recommendations, influence stakeholders, chair meetings, and build consensus.
• Strong organisation, numeracy, communication, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with Columbia Threadneedle EMEA products, governance, and strategy.
• Asset management experience, ideally in product management or ETFs.
• Experience with Luxembourg or Ireland UCITS structures such as SICAV or ICAV.
• Investment-related qualification such as IMC.
