Company

Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops healthcare and medical technologies intended to improve prevention, treatment, and patient outcomes.

What you will do

  • Develop and apply multimodal MRI measures for clinical and cognitive diagnosis, disease staging, and longitudinal progression modeling.
  • Identify and quantify imaging correlates of pathology in neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Build multivariate models integrating MRI, PET, and fluid biomarkers to improve predictive performance, robustness, and biological interpretability.
  • Implement scalable pipelines for data onboarding, quality control, processing, and feature engineering across large datasets.
  • Partner with cross-functional scientists in a matrixed environment to support biomarker development and deployment in clinical trials.
  • Communicate findings through internal and external presentations and scientific publications.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biomedical Science, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong record of imaging-related publications and scientific writing.
  • Expertise in at least one MRI modality, such as structural MRI, diffusion, fMRI, or quantitative MRI.
  • Demonstrated ability to process data at scale through pipeline development and reproducible workflows.
  • Expertise in multivariate modeling, such as regularized regression, latent variable models, or ensemble learning, and/or deep learning applied to neuroimaging or biomarkers.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PET quantification and/or EEG analysis.
  • Experience integrating imaging, biofluid, clinical, and cognitive measures and validating models on independent datasets.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work in a patient-focused neuroscience research environment addressing complex brain health conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional scientists in a matrixed organization.
  • Eligible employees may participate in pension, 401(k), and long-term incentive programs.
  • Benefits include vacation, sick time, holidays, parental leave, caregiver leave, bereavement leave, volunteer leave, and other time-off programs.
