Stress Testing Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab - Per Diem

What you will do

• Perform cardiac stress testing procedures according to hospital policy and physician orders.
• Ensure patient safety, follow infection-control standards, and initiate emergency procedures when critical situations arise.
• Maintain, clean, and operate EKG and stress-testing equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and current clinical education and age-specific competencies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance, and improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training new staff and student interns.

Requirements

• High school diploma with a basic dysrhythmia course, or completion of an approved CVT or RCP program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work under pressure, make independent decisions, and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to lift 20–30 pounds and perform walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and hearing-equipment-alarm duties.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience in stress testing or ECG.
• Familiarity with Philips/Epiphany EKG Systems and Quinton Stress Machines.
