Databricks Genie Consultant / Data Engineer (Databricks)

Location: Mumbai or Bengaluru, India; hybrid with 2 days working from the office per week

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, transformations, and data models.
• Configure, manage, and deploy Databricks Genie.
• Develop semantic layers and optimize data for business consumption.
• Create reports and dashboards for business users.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions with business and data teams.
• Maintain data quality, governance, security, and lineage across the Databricks environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with data engineering and data modeling.
• Expertise in Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks Genie and semantic layers.
• Strong SQL and analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to Retail, CPG, or BFSI domains.
